A medication used to replace the pituitary hormones, LH and FSH. May be used to induce ovulation in women who do not respond to clomiphene citrate. Most frequently used with women who do not normally produce oestrogen because of a pituitary gland or hypothalamic malfunction. May also be used with men to stimulate sperm production.
